Indianapolis Colts pull off 23-17 win against Titans to end losing streak – NFL RecapIndianapolis Colts finally managed to pull off their first win of current regular National Football League (NFL) season by beating the Tennessee Titans 23-17 in Indianapolis on Sunday.Colts second pick quarterback Dan Orlovsky finally came to their rescue in absence of their star quarterback Peyton Manning. Manning is out of the team due to his neck injury.The much needed help for the Colts came in form of a touchdown pass from Orlovsky. His effort was further supplemented by an 80 yards block by their defence. Colts defence managed to stop the final run by Titans offense at 80 yards.The final showdown from Dan Orlovsky had followed another 18 yards touchdown pass in the third quarter of the game. This had helped the Indianapolis Colts to claim a 10-6 lead over the Titans.The lead was later extended by Jacob Lacey to 17-6 score. He successfully intercepted a 32 yards return for touchdown from the Titans offense.However courtesy of a 7 yards touchdown pass from Jake Locker to Nate Washington with 3:43 minutes to go to closing of the game helped the Titans to be within 20-13. It was first game for Jake Locker. He was brought in place of Titans quarterback Matt Hasselbeck who had been picked off twice. Earlier Chris Johnson had managed a 55 yards rush for the Titans.Dan Orlovsky made it sure on his final play that the Colts come out victorious. He managed to throw a block that helped Brown to reach the corner and rush an 80 yards just before end of the game.Then came the celebrations from coaches, managers and players of the Indianapolis Colts over their first win of the season. It has taken the Colts fifteen games to record their first victory in the current NFL season.The Titans who were in a must win situation to keep alive their hopes for playoff berth were dealt a severe blow to their chances. They are now seen well out of the race for a wild card berth in favour to other teams.
