Indianapolis Colts quarterback Curtis Painter adds to winless Colts vows – NFL News
Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback Curtis Painter is disappointed with his performance in the line-up of the winless Colts.
The Colts lost their last game 3-17 to Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, making it to 10 consecutive losses in the current season of the National Football League (NFL), the premier American football league. Having played 10 games
Indianapolis are reeling behind at 0-10, and are the only team to have not won a single game in the current regular season.
Colts coach Jim Caldwell decided to pull back the quarter back Curtis Painter in favour of Dan Orlovsky. Painter came out as disappointed with his performance in the game.
I'm disappointed," Painter said. "We didn't do some things today that we would like to do a little better. We made a few mistakes there."
It was poor display by the Painter. He did not manage to throw a single touchdown pass. This was repletion of his performance for fourth weeks in a row. His performance also had a massive impact on his rating which has gone down
to 42 overall, third time in the four tries.
It has now increasingly becoming difficult for the Colts to continue with Painter. As a matter of fact, the Colts coach had yanked at the Painter after he threw his second interception in the last Sunday's game.
However, the coach did not disclose about the potential names who will be behind the Colts centre line. The Colts will have next week as their bye week and will return in the following week to play Carolina Panthers, in the week
12 of the current season of NFL.
Pittsburgh are looking miserable without Peyton Manning, who is out due to neck injury, and might miss the Colts altogether as they already started thinking of the post-Manning era.
Manning had enabled the Indianapolis Colts to record 115 regular season games in the seasons from 2000 to 2009. They with him had won two AFC and a Super Bowl.
Manning has not played or practiced since he had neck surgery on the September 8. He had damaged a nerve in the neck, and this was third procedure on his neck in last one year and half. He is yet to recover since then and so far
his return in the current season looks almost impossible.
