Indianapolis Colts rookie QB Andrew Luck rated even better than Peyton Manning in some terms – NFL News
The Indianapolis Colts are considered lucky to have found quarterback Andrew Luck as a direct replacement to their former star Peyton Manning as the rookie is rated matching the veteran’s intelligence level and work ethics and even better in some areas i.e.
passion for preparation and attention to details.
Daniel Jeremiah, the NFL.com and NFL Network analyst, who had a number of opportunities to closely watch both players, has written high of the rookie. He said he has seen a number of unique qualities of the QB that he could not spot in any other QB in the
league, even his predecessor Peyton Manning.
He rates Peyton to be an intelligent player but sees Luck even smarter as far as the reflection to different problems and acting to the need of the time is concerned. Luck is analysed to be a very passionate player and has the unique ability of calling right
shots at the right time. His judgement is impressive.
Also, Luck is being viewed as a more competitive quarterback with distinct physical attributions and Daniel does not see any reason that the player is not the future’s most successful QB in the league.
The analyst cites his visits to Stanford College where Luck has graduated from and meetings with the players coaches and other staff, all of them speaking very high of his talent and skill set. His selection by the prestigious education institution itself
speaks of the player’s intelligence, he notes.
Although the real test for the player is still awaited, the talk around the possibility of his success in the pro career has hit every corner of the league.
Andrew particularly stands out as an offence leader, having already shown a sense of maturity and leadership skills. The particular point of his leadership abilities is his power to inspire.
For example, Daniel notes that he has been pointed out by a number of teammates in the college league that Luck is good at delivering pep talks and through this ability has triggered many wins for them.
It is only a matter of time for the Colts now to know if they have found an even better solution to Peyton’s departure after 14 years of constant success. Almost all Colts community is on feet waiting for the rookie to show up at training camp at the end
of next week, which will be his first fulltime appearance with new teammates.
