Indianapolis Colts seek to regroup versus Kansas City Chiefs after Houston Texans’ loss – NFL News
The Indianapolis Colts have sought to regroup themselves, learning from mistakes they frequently committed in the game against the Houston Texans on Sunday December 16, and reassuring themselves that they still have a chance as far as their berth into the
playoffs is concerned.
As was projected by a majority of commentators, the Texans easily walked over the visitors the Colts. Texans’ cause was help by the mistakes-prone Colts.
Coach Bruce Arians said:
"Obviously we left points on the field with the fumble on the goal line and then the penalty on the touchdown pass."
The Colts were defeated both offensive and defensively. Quarterback Andrew Luck was completely suffocated by defensive end J.J. Watt, while running back Arian Foster finished the game with 160 rushing yards. Their effort was complemented by wide receiver
Andre Johnson who ran for over 100 yards.
QB Andrew Luck said of the performance on the day:
"I think all the guys, including myself, are going to be very critical of what they did, realize that if we want to become a better team, we are going to have to hopefully eliminate the mistakes that we made in this game."
The Colts are due to face the Kansas City Chiefs for a road tie this weekend, and have boasted preparedness for the game. In a full team session where all the players and officials watched the Texans’ game video, coach Arians and offence leader Luck backed
the team to regain their confidence and form.
With a possible win over the Chiefs this Sunday the Colts can be through to the playoffs. The team also discussed their playoff scenario and their possible strategy.
With present 9-5 points situation on the table the Colts are only a game away from the playoffs but apparently it has been taking them too long to find that elusive win. Although Luck has been leading them successfully, he is leading the league in interceptions
and other mistakes, which speaks of the shortcomings he has faced as a rookie offence leader in the first pro season.
Nevertheless, the Colts have to find a way out to overcome these mistakes or at least minimise them.
