61 years of independence and 30 crore people in poverty and the number is still growing! Mnc's come, industries are opened, but practical living conditions are worsening day by day. Corruption is increasing, the government is going to the rags. If this continues, we would soon accomplish what no one has ever done before: Going back to the stone age! This may sound a bit harsh but look around you and think! 1. i think it will buh it'll take a h**l of a time..dere jus too many ppl dere nd not every1 follows rules

  2. I believe if there is more social work and compassion from people, India would become a better place to live. We can certainly help reduce poverty through this. Its not only the responsibility of the government to help the poor. Its everyone's responsibility to contribute in reducing poverty. There is one way which I came across - there's a community http://www.orkut.co.in/Community.aspx?cm... which is about The United Nations' campaign to End Poverty by 2015. The campaign revolves around 8 major goals which, if accomplished, would ensure eradication of poverty. This is just one front, but a very important one. India is already a knowledge superpower and is doing well in other areas. So, I feel with eradication of poverty, India would certainly be a place to be.

  3. The main reason for the poverty is the

uncontrolled birth rate. When the poor do not have the wherewithal to eat two square meals a day, they continue to bear children because,

instead of considering a new addition as another mouth to feed, they look upon the baby

as another source of income in their begging

business.Hardly anyone desires to exert to work. Most of the working class is more

conscious of its rights than duties.Production and productivity are given the go-by when

governments themselves have been known to

have given calls for strikes and total stoppage of normal life. And that, within a short span of

61 years(perspective of time changes with different individuals),India has reached where it stands tall today,is indeed is a tribute to the

efforts of enterprising people who have tirelessly worked to put it on the international

map.Let us shed our archaic principles of

socialism and communism  and leap into the

supersonic age  with a verve and zeal never before exhibited.

As for your question,India has not only developed but has overtaken quite a few of the developed countries in almost all fields and areas.

  4. harsh but true

india is delveloping alright, but not in a way that'd benifit the common man.....the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer.

and the basic infrastructure remains the same old 1900s, take power supply grids for an example.

  5. what do you mean of development? it is old to new or changes the way we living and seeing life. according to me development means one has change himself and try encourge to change one person in ifetime this enough.

developments is not outside of us and its build inside of every human being only one thing is to understand seriously.

  6. I don't know where are u from but let me tell u some things.....

61 years may sound long for a man but for a country these really r like childhood. And also u won't even believe that what we have achieved in 61 years most of the developed countries took 100s of years to do that.

yes there are many a million people living on less than a dollor a day..but these numbers are decreasing not increasing...

The only problem that I see around me is that we don't want the change. We take all the thinhs as it comes and never try to change it. That's why be are facing so many problems. And it is not about uneducated peoples the so called civilized and educated peoples are also doing that. We are worst hit by corruption. In 90's Rajeev Gandhi that time primeminister said that the 100 paise of govt. becomes only 17 paise when it reachs to common people. the rest goes into the pocket of corrupted peoples at all levels of structure. Even today the amount has more  decreased to 10-12 paise....

So I think that if we the people can raise our voice against corruption we can beat all the countries of the world.

Not to forget even with corruption Indian economy is growing at the rate of 8%. Just think how it will do if we will utilize all our resources.

And MNC's , they are in India to make money only...

no social service to remind u.

Whoever u r wait for 2025 u will gwt ur answer.
