India’s Saina Nehwal determined to win crown at the All England Premier Super Series 2011
Top Indian shuttler, Saina Nehwal is determined to win the crown of Women’s Singles in the prestigious event of the All England Premier Super Series 2011, which is going to kick off from March 8, in Birmingham, England. After recovering from an ankle injury,
the Indian is ready to make a good run in the second premier super series event of 2011. In the event of the Korea Open Premier Super Series 2011, she lost her match in the second round.
In the rankings of Badminton World Federation, Saina is place at Number Four. The top seed in India, delivered a wonderful performance in the year 2010, where she won major super series events. She won the Singapore Open Super Series 2010, Indonesia Open
Super Series 2010, and Hong Kong Open Super Series 2010 and also grabbed the home title, India Grand Prix Gold 2010. She became the first Indian woman to win three back-to-back super series titles.
In the All England Open 2010, the Indian shuttler could not pass the semi-final stage. No Indian female player has ever won the coveted All England tournament in the history of the event. Prakash Padukone and Pullela Gopichand are the two Indian male players
who have the honour to win this esteemed tournament. Saina is ready to become the first Indian female to win the Women’s Singles title in the upcoming premier super series event.
Saina will play against Korean, Seung Hee Bae, in the first round of the event. In the second round, she is expected to meet the winner of the encounter between Bulgaria’s Linda Zechiri and Tzu Ying Tai of Chinese Taipei. The number five seed of the event
is on the easier side of the draw and has no major contenders in her way until the quarterfinal stage, where she will be facing Ella Diehl of Russia, who will start her campaign against the Japanese, Eriko Hirose.
All Chinese shuttlers are on the other upper half of the draw, and the Indian, if remains on track, will be facing one of the top Chinese shuttlers. The top seed, Wang Shixian, will start her journey against Porntip Buranaprasertsuk of Thailand. The number
three seed Chinese shuttler, Xin Wang, will be up against the Malaysian, Wong Mew Choo, who was the semi-finalist in the German Open GP Gold 2011.
Saina has got rid of all her fitness problems and she has been working hard in the training sessions for about a month. The World Number Four wants to break the deadlock in the All England this time, as she is quite fit now and is focusing on the event.
The Indian lady will start her journey in the event from tomorrow on March 9, at the National Indoor Arena, in Birmingham, England.
