The great thing about indie artists is that at least some of them have integrity and respect both for their own talent and their fans. And that leads to some unique sounds. Just like organic food it's both good for the body and it tastes great.

If you're into this type of music we've just launched a new website dedicated to indie artists both musicians and filmmakers in order to help them promote their work.

it's true, there are tons of different genres of music within "indie", but just for the fact that indie bands/artists are generally out to make music first and money second (unlike most major label artists) is enough for me to love it.

(not to say that money isn't important to most indie artists, but it's a means to continue creating music.)

There many types of indie music. Indie is short for independant.. so it depends on which musicians and bands you enjoy. Not all "indie" music is good.
