Does anyone know some information on these children...

I did do some research online but couldn't really find anything too specific....

I'm looking for information pertaining to an instruction and or teaching environment for these gifted children.

  1. Sure, here's some information.Indigo children is the new age term for spoiled brat.

  2. My Oh My! Though it is extremely plausable that humans have been evolving, I have seen no evidence supporting this Indigo children theory.  As for a connection to ADD / ADHD please, it is complete bollocks. Parents do not dicipline their children like they use to. Instead they feed them little pills. I honestly believe the majority of these medicated children do not need the meds. It amazes me how easily parents are willing to feed their children these pills.

  3. Doreen Virtue (she's been on Oprah) has written books about Indigo and Crystal children, as well as getting in touch with angels. You can purchase her books from Hay House, Amazon or a book store, or get them at your library.

  4. All children are 'special needs' children, but this sounds like 'my spoiled children deserve to be more spoiled than yours'.

Spoiling a child is a form of abuse, literally. Besides the sexual, physical, emotional and neglect abuses, spoiling a child renders them unfit for real life. Teach and discipline; don't coddle!

  5. It is not possible for whole swaths of children to evolve amazing new characteristics in one generation.

Why don't you find gifts for real things that children have such as music, maths or sport and develop those, that would be far more use than encouraging them to engage in this deluded New Age poppycock.

  6. i have lots of info on indigo children. they have come to help raise earth's vibration. here are my top 3 most favourite sites.

  7. The most important thing to do is "stay out of their way!"

They're naturally psychic empaths, and are more sensitive.

They're also still children and you need only give them a safe, open, creative, and nurturing learning environment ... with the very same behavioral guidelines you would give any child.

Even though they "seem" appropriate in their propaganda ... definitely stay away from Waldorf Schools.

    And keep studying!

  8. It's just a New Age gimmick where befuddled parents who don't know how to control their poorly behaved child can attribute this bad behavior to a side of effect of their child being psychically gifted. It's an easy fix -- be known as having a spoiled brat child, or be known as having a gifted child? Obviously they'll opt for the latter, which is why this Indigo stuff has become popular among mystical thinkers. The descriptions often given of Indigo children -- high I.Q., acute intuition, self-confidence, resistance to authority and disruptive tendencies -- are general enough to apply to a lot of children a lot of the time, so the definition of "Indigo" ends up describing nothing. Of course it goes without saying that none of these so-called Indigo children have ever demonstrated any kind of psychic ability.

  9. Check out this link..and google for more. There are shows coming up on A&E..I think starting June 15th about psychic children. They might  be the same as Indigos.

  10. Indigo = New Age nonsense

"You aren't a pain in the *&^, you're special.  You're Indigo."  Yeah, right.

"According to psychiatric expert Russell Barkley, the New Age movement has yet to produce empirical evidence of the existence of Indigo children and the 17 traits most commonly attributed to them were so vague they could describe 'most of the people most of the time' and put him in mind of the Forer effect. Barkley also expressed concern that labeling a disruptive child an "indigo" may delay proper diagnosis and treatment that may help the child.  Others have advised that many of the traits of indigo children could be more prosaically interpreted as simple arrogance and selfish individualism, which parents with certain New Age beliefs see as being something that they are not." --Wiki
