Indonesia Open 2013: Marc Zwiebler demolishes Jen Hao Hsu in first round contest – Badminton news
Germany’s top player, Marc Zwiebler, found a good start in Men’s Singles first round when he registered a comprehensive victory over Chinese Taipei’s Jen Hao Hsu at Djarum Indonesia Open 2013 on Wednesday, June 12, in Indonesia.
The experienced Zwiebler, who has been putting up good show at international stage for the last couple of years, showed his elite skills and easily sent his Taipei challenger packing in just 37 minutes.
Zwiebler was in command throughout the contest and he did not face any trouble in finishing it off with a completely one-sided 21-11 and 21-10 score on the board.
Meanwhile, the talented Jen Hao failed to capitalise his aggressive skills. He could not take any advantage from his attacking play and ultimately went down against Zwiebler without even getting a reasonable total.
In the opening set, the in-form Zwiebler displayed his attacking skills in the arena and he did not take much time in controlling the driving seat.
The unmatched variations and control at net enabled Zwiebler to push his opponent on back foot. He was smooth in his positive play and took a wonderful lead at the early stage.
Zwiebler advanced with great speed as he played with great precision and he created a huge gap on the score board until the one-minute break.
After the break, Jen Hao tried his best to match the pace of rallies but failed to stay positive and committed many unforced errors all the way.
The German man continued his roller-coaster performance in the concluding half and easily won the first game with a tremendous 21-11 difference on the board.
Zwiebler continued his killing run in the following game as he again did not take much time in setting up an early lead. He played positive badminton and kept Jen Hao moving everywhere in the arena.
The attacking and accurate smashes and perfect net play helped Zwiebler to take a wonderful lead on the score board until the break.
Zwiebler continued playing in the similar manner and he remained successful in taking the second game with a one-sided 21-10 score on the board.
