Indonesia Open: Porntip Buranaprasertsuk tames Agnese Allegrini in Women’s Singles first round
Thailand’s spirited shuttler Porntip Buranaprasertsuk showed her elite skills as she easily overpowered Agnese Allegrini of Italy in Women’s Singles first round at 2012 Indonesia Open Premier Super Series at Jakarta, Indonesia, on Wednesday, June 13.
The higher ranked Porntip, who has been placed at number 17 in Women’s Singles world standings, proved her superior skills in the court while playing against her Italian opponent and bagged as easy victory.
The in-form Porntip was impressive in her game plan as she played without taking any pressure and registered a comprehensive win over her Italian rival by ended the match in two games in just 30 minutes.
On the other hand, the lower ranked Italian showed her aggression in the opening game but failed to match the skills of her Thai opponent and eventually lost the battle in straight games without impressing the crowd.
Porntip was in complete control from the starting points and she continued her positive and dominating performance without facing any considerable resistance from Agnese who was trailing behind on the score board until the one-minute interval.
After the break, the Italian geared up her speed but her shot selection was not effective as her higher ranked opponent did not face any problem in stretching her lead.
In the meanwhile, Porntip continued her tremendous performance in the court and remained successful in taking the advantage in the game by grabbing the first set with a convincing margin of 21-15.
In the following set, Porntip showed her aggression and highly impressive craft as she showed urgency in setting up a huge lead on the score board by reaching at 11-2 until the one-minute interval.
After the break, Agnese tried to show her brilliance by hitting the bird hard but failed to shake the defence of her Thai opponent who was everywhere in the court.
Porntip was quite smooth in her movement around the court and she did not face any trouble in the entire second game and wrapped it up with a sensational 21-13 score on the board.
The in-form Porntip won this Women’s Singles first round clash in just 30 minutes with tremendous margin of 21-15 and 21-13.
