Indoor slugs! Help please!?

Hello there,

I have for a long time now, been experiencing a problem with indoor slugs. I would first like to note that I live in the city, and find it unusual to be getting slugs at all.

I have NEVER seen a slug indoors, but am left with trails going across my shoes, and clothes that have been left on my floor. I found a wet trail, and still couldn't find the little bugger.

This is all taking place in my bedroom, which is on the ground floor at the front of my house. Ive plainly had enough of it!

It happens every 2 or 3 weeks, and leaves a trail on a NUMBER of items. I cannot figure out where they could possibly be coming from. Are they definetly slugs? Is there anything else that leaves trails? I have no idea. The only thing I know, is that on clothing, I find a number of trails, and it looks like someone has put a small streak of motor oil on them, because its a very very metalic colour which reflects with light.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  1. SALT KILLS THEM BELIEVE IT OR NOT.  IT WORKED FOR ME.  TRY IT.

  2. It may be a little more messy idea, but try leaving salt around your floor to where you think the snails might be going to.

It'll kinda suck after you find a few melted slugs around, but at least they'll be gone.
