I've had my industrial piercing for two and a half monthes when I noticed this rather large bump: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v471/Sansha/?action=view&current=Picture375.jpg

About two weeks or so now, I'm still not sure if it's a cyst or a keloid and I've been worrying myself to death. I haven't noticed it bleeding or oozing any puss, and due to the size and the fact that sea salt soaks and tea tree oil haven't been helping is what leads me to believe it's a keloid. If any of you could confirm what you think it is, It would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

  1. It looks like a Keloid. Try buying a needle and draining it of any puss, that happened when I got my industrial, after I drained it It healed perfect. But make sure your piercer looks at it first.

  2. ooo same thing happened to me with my industrial. i just left it alone. then once i peeled it off and it started to go away and away and away until its finally not there anymore. what i suggest is that u leave it alone and keep washing it. if it doesnt go away in like 3 months go to ur piercer

  3. I'm willing to agree with your suspicion, however its really hard to tell with that picture.

go to a piercer and have them check it out. they'll be able to tell you a lot better than someone on here.

  4. I used to work in a tattoo and piercing parlor, and I can assure you that that is a keloid.

Those are actually a lot easier to fix, I think.

If you use chamomile tea bags, it should clear it right up.

All you have to do is get some water really really hot, as hot as you can stand it, and dip the tea bag into it and get it wet, then hold the tea bag onto the keliod for about 10 minutes, re-soaking the bag in hot water when it gets cold or dried out.

It's a bit messy, but it's done wonders for my various keloids. The piercer I worked for said it had something to do with antioxidants....

If you do that once a day for two weeks, or twice a day for one week, it should clear right up. Even if it starts looking like it's gone before the regimen is up, don't stop early or it'll prolly just come back.

    Best of luck with that!
