Indy Pro-Am exhibition game produces fireworks: NBA News
At the University of Indianapolis on Saturday night, the Washington D.C. based Goodman League and the home squad Indy Pro-Am triggered an eventful night during an exhibition game involving NBA players, giving the fans worth for
their money.
Although the teams were not as star-Studded as the Sunday’s Battle of I-95, however the visitors Goodman League and Indy Pro-am showcased an epitome of competitiveness in a game which demonstrated countless blows from each side.
  
After a hard-line battle, Indiana natives Eric Gordon and George Hill came up short in the end against the Goodman League’s superstars John Wall and Jeff Green in an exhilarating 170-167 showdown.
Washington Wizards point guard Wall’s remorseless strong summer continued as he raced away with a magnificent triple-double. The 21-year old John Wall maintained the intensity and competitiveness every minute he stayed on the court
and finished off with a game-high 41 points, handed out 12 assists and gathered 11 boards.
The rising star of Los Angeles Clippers, Eric Gordon was the second highlight of the night who kept the score board ticking for Indy Pro-Am with his incredible scoring abilities and outstanding athleticism.
Gordon was one assist short from lading a double-double as he racked up 40 points and 9 assists for his team. The sharp-shooter Eric maintained the momentum dominantly throughout the game for Indy Pro-Am however he had to pay the
price for failing to complete the comeback in the defining moments of the games.
The 2005 Big East Player of the Year, Jeff Green provided a substantial support to the star of the night John Wall and finished strong above the rim to help Goodman League defeat the opposition in a thrilling battle. The 25-year-old
small forward of Boston Celtics’ versatility, ball handling skills and electrifying jumpers sparked the night with sheer excitement and he finished off with 35 points and 12 rebounds.
Sacramento Kings rookie DeMarcus Cousins, who was playing for the Goodman League, did the remaining damage and restricted Indy Pro-Am to finish stronger. Cousins impressed the spectators with some blistering blows from all over
the court including the 3-point range and to notch up 33 points.
The veteran NBA superstar of Memphis Grizzlies Zach Randolph was also a part of Indy Pro-Am’s line-up. Although he lacked the agility and athleticism against the young speedsters from both the teams however he challenged the opposition
with his experience and tremendous scoring and rebounding abilities.
The 30-year old Zach netted 21 points and clutched 10 rebounds, making a valuable contribution in keeping his side in a competitive position throughout the game.
After witnessing a thrilling matchup between Goodman League and Indy Pro-Am, the fans in Indianapolis were treated to a long autograph session.
