  1. Buy a cheap van with a good engne, and when you get to spain put up a few notices in the Irish/English bars that you have a right hand drive van for sale. Guaranteed you wil make a tidy profit on the transaction. It should pay for your fuel for the whole journey!!

Please reply to me if you decide to to that, as I know 2 people in Spain who are returning to their countries of origin (UK/Ireland) fairly soon.

  2. Most of the big UK companys do one ways. but the don't let u take the van on a ferry and they charge you around £400 extra. best bet is buy a cheep runner and get rid of it in spain.

  3. you need to take someone with you to drive it back,

also make sure you have insurance to take it abroad, if the Spanish stop you they have some strict laws, (CHECK TO MAKE SURE)

would not like to see you or anyone put in their jail

  4. no companies would let you take a van 2 spain, take it 1 way meaning u are not going to take it back 2 england!

  5. theres this guy round the corner from me, got this nice Transit going very cheep, hes just doing some work on the number plates, names Del boy

  6. AVIS

  7. funny

  8. (A)There's plenty of brits living in Spain, that often do the opposite and then their respective families will take the van/camper back to their villas. Look up expatriate forums for the area you're going to.

(B)Also, most UK rental firms are reluctant to do this type of operation, but several European ones do. If you're anywhere near Kent, you can hop on Eurostar to France and do a one way rental from there to sunny Spain, with a quick nip back to ol blighty in between to pick up your necessaries, check with automobile clubs europe. Probably easier if you get a  large MPV though. Look out for special one day / 24 hr deals in the local press or there's even  a few on ebay.

    (C) Find a friendly trucker that's going that way, to take your stuff for you, save you hiring a van. I used to do that run all the time and was only too pleased to be able to help out, for a few extra shekels, in my pocket and the promise of somewhere to rest for a day, clean shower, swimming pool or a nice meal, when you get to your destination.
