Inertia switch on mustang?

I have been trying to install a new fuel filter on my 2001 mustang v6 and cant unplug the inertia switch/fuel pump switch to let the pressure drain out my car before installing the fuel filter.I have been trying to pull it off but it just wont unplug! How do i get it off?

just get a swrewdriver of a wrench and hit it. It will pop open and when you are ready to start the car, simply just push the button back in to reset it. The inertia switch acts like a breaker in a way.

It dont come off  ,, Pull the fuse to it  and this will  kill the juice to it
