Ines Charles claims Girl’s 100 yard back-stroke title: 2011 High School State Championships
Ines Charles of Bloomfield Hills Lahser thrashed her challengers in the arena during the evening session of the 2011 High School State Championships, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The event was held on November 18-19, in which Charles clinched the Girl’s 100 yard
back-stroke crown.
Ines Charles of Bloomfield Hills Lahser was battling against her toughest rivals of the arena, as Charles kicked off with a thrilling start in the final race and smashed her opponents by beating the finishing barrier in a winning time of 56.20 seconds to
win the Girl’s 100 yard back-stroke title.
After the race, Alexa Resetar of Cranbrook Kingswood earned second spot by clicking the finishing divider in a time of 58.97 seconds and Marin Mclnerney of Pontiac Notre Dame Prep settled at third place in a time of 1 minute and 00.03 seconds.
Meanwhile, Kara Stadleman of Trenton High School got fourth position in the respective splash by touching the finishing fence in a time of 1 minute and 00.05 seconds and Andrea Okuly of Center Line High School was placed at fifth in a blot of 1 minute and
00.07 seconds, respectively.
In the meantime, Hailey Fathman of Hamilton High School grabbed sixth position in the respective race by knocking the finishing hurdle in a spot of 1 minute and 00.80 seconds and Faith Bart of East Grand Rapids settled at seventh place in a time of 1 minute
and 01.16 seconds. Finally, Sarah Norton of Adrian High School claimed eighth place honours by hitting the finishing divider in a blot of 1 minute and 01.36 seconds.
The Girl’s 100 yard back-stroke B final heat was claimed by Sydney Hooker in a time of 1 minute and 01.30 seconds and Kendall Young of Cranbrook Kingswood settled at second place in a time of 1 minute and 01.83 seconds. Samantha Ellis of Allegan High School
earned third place honours by hitting the finishing fence in a spot of 1 minute and 02.04 seconds, while Kaylie Wierda of Holland Christian High School settled at fourth spot by clicking the finishing divider in a time of 1 minute and 02.45 seconds.
