Ines Sainz gives Manny Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito prediction
In a recent interview with Fanhouse videographer Elie Seckbach, the Mexican television reporter Ines Sainz announced she believes Antonio Margarito will outpoint Manny Pacquiao when the two touch gloves on November 13 in Arlington, Texas.
Of course it helps that Margarito is of Mexican descent. When asked who she thought would win, Sainz said: “Margarito, of course. I'm from Mexico, and I think that right now, it's time for the Mexican boxer. So, he's going to win.”
Sainz added that after travelling to Oxnard, California, and seeing “The Tijuana Tornado” train, she felt he was in the best shape of his career.
Sainz was recently hired by Top Rank Promotions to help promote the upcoming bout.
She has been linked to an alleged sexual harassment case in the past that has in turn grew to massive proportions and totally dwarfed her actual reporting career.
Some months ago Sainz walked into the New York Jets locker room in a bid to find quarterback Mark Sanchez for an interview. According to sources, Jets players heckled her with lewd comments and made her feel uncomfortable.
But according to Sainz, it was “the rest of the media [that] started to hear the different kinds of things that I didn’t hear.”
The incident though, drew wide-sweeping divergence of opinion, with some claiming Sainz ought to sue players for sexual harassment, and others saying she should have expected as much.
When asked about congressman and top-rated fighter Pacquiao, Sainz stuck to her Mexican guns, saying: “Well, I think that he's training very hard, also, and he's a professional, too. So, I really believe that it's going to be a great, great fight. But, my
heart is with the Mexican boxer.”
Pacquiao will be the favourite in the upcoming bout and look to win the WBC junior middleweight title.
