Does anyone know of a place or a website I can go to buy an inexpensive tank, that includes the filter, hood, light and stuff? Doesn't have to be to big. Under 5 gallons.

  1. If your folks will let you get up to a 15gal tank, get one of those. A bigger tank is allways better ;-)

Go to a local chain store and get a complete kit. As tanks gets larger they become expensive to freight (heavy and fragile). Any money you save buying online gets used up in freight. Better to go to a store and have a look at the range, and buy the one you think is the best deal.

But you wont regret buying a bigger tank. 15-20 gal is a good size for a first tank. Big enough to actually keep a decent range of fish, but not to expensive for a starter.

  2. well, the cheapest i know fr a 5g is at Wal*Mart... 33$ for tank and lighted hood, plus then the filter and heater  are extra. 20$ filter and 15$ heater. in all honesty itd be cheaper tpo buy a 10gallon kit. 50$ at petco, tank lighted hood, filter , heater all u need to buy is the dec and fish =]

  3. walmart has 14 gallon tanks for 66 dollars including what you said above all you will need to buy is the heater and thats only about 5 -10 bucks

  4. walmart has a 55 gallon tank set and is about 120 bucks.

  5. Look into the eclipse line of tanks from marine land, they come with everything you need except a heater and decor. Ive kept fresh and saltwater in them, currently have a 5 gallon with a baby red belly piranha til he grows a little bigger.

they sell them at petco, petsmart etc

  6. you can get this. link bellow  ps you have to buy the acessories. though it comes with a filter and a heater
