Inexpensive honeymoon?

Question

I am getting married on August 16th and I would like to know where would be a very nice place to go for our honeymoon. We can't afford to pay thousands on the honeymoon, but we want to go somewhere out of the state (IL) or out of the country. We were looking at cruises that take us to Jamaica, Mexico, Haiti, and the Cayman Islands, but it's about $2,000. Which is okay, but maybe we can lower the cost and go somewhere else. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Have you thought about registering for your honeymoon?  This is become very popular and is similar to registering for household items at a department store.  You sign up for different portions of your honeymoon and guests can select gifts for you that they know you will enjoy.

For a cheaper cruise locally, try looking at a Great Lakes Cruise.  It's not the Carribean, but it's a nice cheaper alternative, and frankly, once you're on the boat, who cares?

come to puerto rico!!!!!!!!! its the best of the carebean and you dont need pasport and no one be looking at you weird, tghe hotels have carrebean see sight, love machine room service everything you need and its not expencive, it great here.. im chilling whit a coco in my beach house...

I think you will be able to find something cheaper but you will have to research all possibilities.

Since it is hurricane season for the caribbean (June 1 to Nov 30th) a cruise is a great idea because they can reroute the ship away from the storms.

Try Sunset Jamaica Grande Resorts and Spas. Its an all-inclusive resort. There are three resorts total. Negril, Ocho Rios, and Montego Bay. I have been to the Ocho Rios location. It was GREAT!! I never once had to open my wallet. It was very affordable. Here's the website.

Puerto Plata is also an option ( Dominican Republic) all depends for how many days you wanna honeymoon... anyway
