Question:

Inexpensive running shoes?

I'm hoping to find a good brand at a discount price. I would like to spend around $30-$40 if possible. I've already looked at TJMaxx and Marshalls, but they didn't have much in my size (womens 5 1/2). I was thinking of trying DSW. Any suggestions?

  1. I do not think you can spend $30-40 dollars and have a good running shoe.  But you do not have to pay a fortune either.  For between $80-120 you should be able to find a good shoe.  The cheapest shoe will be last years model.  So you may see an $80 shoe going for $60.  Often times there is very little difference between a Nike 2008 and a Nike 2007 shoe.  Poor shoes or a poor fit will create running injuries.  If this is all you can or want to spend go with walking.

  2. I've always been able to find good shoes at Kohls (if you have one).  Also, I've found that outlet stores like the Reebok or Nike outlets have great shoes on sale.  My two favorite pairs of running shoes came from outlet stores.

  3. TJMaxx and Marshalls aren't the place you want to go if you're serious about running shoes. i would reccomend a sports store [d**k's, mc sports, etc.] i'm sure they'll have something. even better, get them on sale.

  4. New Balance.

  5. always invest in good running shoes..its ur support but i understand that u have to be cheap sometimes everyone does.. so if u have an academy in your state..totally go there..

dont go 2 marshalls for running shoes or those discount places..they sell good stuff but bad running shoes.

ummm u need to put down what state u live in cuz that also depends on where u should go.
