  1. Germany is generally expensive for hotels.  Sorry, very few Motel 6 and TraveLodge's here with $29 plus free HBO.  Expect to drop EURO 60-70 per night unless you end up in the boondocks.  If you live outside of major towns you CAN find good rates, but prices will surely be somewhat exagerrated this summer.

If you do end up outside of the city, you'll have to train it back & forth, so consider these costs before booking a "cheap" room in the sticks.  If you decide to taxi it to and from the stadium, forget the idea of a cheap room, as taxis are somewhat more expensive here.

The german youth hostels CAN be good, depending where you are.  Do a Google on that one, but don't count on being able to book far in advance.

Try www.hrs.de for hotel rooms.  You can maybe find some decent prices.  Or even at Ebay they are advertising World Cup (WM) overnights at people's (vacation)houses.

OR, bring only a toothbrush and stay up all night and drink.

  3. the germans dont want us there stay away you will get arrested for being english

  4. well the cheapest possibility are always the hostels.

But since they are expecting lot of guessts for the World Cup period the biggest part of them will charge somewhere between 6 and 10 Euro more than the normal price. That means that the cheapest accomodation in a hostel in a dorm room would be around 20 Euros.

the other thing is that you should book a place as soon as possible.
