Infant eye color? what the world is this?

my son is 3 weeks old. I have 2 other kids,my 3 week old when i look into his eyes they are gray when the light is in them they will turn brown. What is this,i never had this problem with my others, also we're black people.

I would say, its a natural thing, my son was exactly like that, he got gray eyes, when it's bright , they turn into bluish colour, now that  he's older, they just stayed brown..

My babies eyes were like that too, all murky and we couldn't tell the color.  It went away, now he has brown eyes

Sounds like Jessica Alba in that movie "The Eye". Maybe your kid can see ghosts, either way, do something about it before it's too late, The Eye was a terrible movie, do you really want your kid to turn out like some terrible movie?

Well when I was first born I had really blue eyes and they went hazel... so maybe its the same thing? I'm puertorican.

That can happen! And actually, your child's true eye color will not be prominent until he/she is at least 6mos...so, it's nothing to be surprised or alarmed about...just continue to look into those beautiful eyes and watch as he/she gazes back into yours in a "I know you're my mommy" sorta way!! <3 <3

sometimes eyes can change colour.  thats kind of cool.  if ur concerned go see a doctor, but its probably nothing.   iv never seen a black person wtih gray eyes tho :S   probly looks pretty cool

My daughter's eyes did that, the Dr. said they were fine. I am half native american with brown eyes and her dad is half Samoan with green eyes, her's ended up being almost black in color. But my grandmother who was native american also had black eyes.

lol..i had it with my lil brother he turned one year a month ago..when he ws much younger (like you're kids)

his eyes used to be grey and then brown lol..but now its just black and there huge as saucers.

it's not a problem. all babies are different and their eye color will not be permanent until they are at least 2-3 years old.

When my baby was born she had copper brown eyes with grey around the outside.  She's five months now and they're dark brown.
