Infected gauged ear?

My friends and I gauged my ears twos days ago. We went from a normal earring size to an 8. My friend had done this and her ears are perfectly fine. It's been two days and my ears are swollen and starting to pus. I figured this is normal, but I'm still a tad worried. However they don't hurt anymore. I can slide them back and forth without any pain. How can I tell if they're infected or not?

If they have pus I would call your piercer.  You might want to do that any way...if you did it yourself, make sure you're keeping them REALLY clean...if they stay, I would call any piecer in your area and ask about it!  Good luck
