Infected wisdom tooth AGAIN!?

my white blood cell count has been low for sometime and is bein monitered! in At the end of July my wisdom tooth on the upper right got infected. i took clindamycin for a week or something til it cleared up! i was told if it happened agen i would need my wisdom teeth out~~ my doctor said this isnt an option bcuz my my white blood cell count is too low.

sunday i woke up and my bottom wisdom tooth on the left side is hurting very badly. i am taking motrin for it right now but im scared what shuld i do?? i dont think taking more anti biotics is a good idea!! Can i clear this up on my own? if so how ??!

  1. try warm salt water rinses. 1 teaspoon of salt - 8 oz. warm water.

    Swish gently.. Keep the area clean. Call  your doctor.  


  2. the best you can do it keep the socket clean. that's the absolute best for preventing dry socket in the first place. Our mouths are naturally dirty, but if you clean it well (take food out of the sockets etc) then that's the best you can do in your situation. Keep taking the anti-biotics but remember to ice your mouth if it's hurting or is swelling at all :)
