Question:

Infinite Punishment for Finite Sins?

God is perfectly just, and yet he sentences the imperfect humans he created to infinite suffering in h**l for finite sins. Clearly, a limited offense does not warrant unlimited punishment. God's sentencing of the imperfect humans to an eternity in h**l for a mere mortal lifetime of sin is infinitely more unjust than this punishment. The absurd injustice of this infinite punishment is even greater when we consider that the ultimate source of human imperfection is the God who created them. A perfectly just God who sentences his imperfect creation to infinite punishment for finite sins is impossible.

  1. Even if God sent Jesus to clear our sins, even in bible time, is still a couple thousand years after Humans were created. So before Jesus was born, millions of people fell into h**l without a chance.

  2. From another viewpoint...don't you die from taking poison? Your life is ended forever from one act. And a limited offense does not imply the perfection that God demands....one offense is all it takes to be imperfect. God is eternally perfect and only surrounds himself with perfection in heaven.

So it is with God's eternal justice....we were separated from God's Holy perfection by Adam's act of disobedience and sin which altered the perfection of all humans thereafter. The only way God could redeem us back into a perfect relationship with Him and wash us clean of all our sins was by the atonement for them by Christ....our Savior. God demands perfection in heaven and the only alternative of belief in Jesus as our Savior is an eternal life of separation from him in the darkness, torment and misery of h**l with Satan....the greatest fallen angel that struggled to have  power over God in heaven and the source of our imperfection on earth through his deception of Eve.

  3. That is a very good question.  I think a life full of sin reflects a life that does not acknowledge, respect, revere the Infinite God that created him/her.  I think we are infinite creatures.  A person whose life centers around himself/herself instead of God is in infinite sin because God gives us plenty of opportunity to respond to Him in this life.  If you seek God, you will find Him.  God won't hide from the creatures he made and loved enough to send His Son, Jesus.

  4. The taking of peoples lives is an infinite sin, because it extends through the end of time! Those that commit these sins had a choice and they were willful and chose the wrong path! Nothing is impossible to GOD! The one who brings the punishment is Satan not GOD, so direct your thoughts to him!

  5. Well, that's what they tell you, Sunset.

But can you trust a God who tells lies?

See my 360 page - the article headed "We are the Other People". It was the Serpent who told the truth.

  6. Iranians are supeiorr race!

  7. I completly agree with you, but since i go to catholic school, I'll give you the church's reasoning behind this.

h**l is not a state of punishment, though it may seem that way to us. We cannot fully comprehend what this state is but the general understanding of h**l is a total absince of God. The church does not view h**l as a punushment, but rather a lack of recieving of the gifts of the holy spirit.

  8. I agree completely. Their God is completely unethical. I fully rejected him when I determined that he had no right to create humans knowing that most would be condemned to h**l for eternity. It is barbaric and utterly unconscionable.

95% of human parents love their children unconditionally, would NEVER abandon them, would never turn them away, and so they are all much better parents than the "deadbeat dad" Christian "Father" who abandons the majority of his children for Eternity! What a scumbag!
