Infiniti g 20 reset mass air flow sensor?

i changed the mass air flow sensor but the car starts and stalls on the first try, but run good a second try someone told me i need to reset the sensor is this true?

  1. when you have certain scanners you can erase the trouble codes from the computer. If you dont have on you can try disconnecting the neg battery cable--it works sometimes.Otherwise the car will automatically recognize the new part after about 6 or 12 starts.


  2. you dont reset the sensor, you can reset the cpu to accept the signal again but i think that you have incorrectly diagnosed the problem.  

  3. Bad diagnosis.

    "Resetting" a sensor that isn't causing the problem you are having is fruitless.
