  1. .there is no infinity..its        lim            x

                                            (x->infinity).

    so    lim          x-(x-1)

           (x->infinity)

    = lim     1

       (x->infinity)

    =1

    ans=1

  2. my guess is

    inf - 1 less than infinity=1

  3. its stll infanty

  4. infinity isnt a real concept, it is not a mathematical concept. it is a philosophical concept. it is a creation of our minds. nothing is infinite, not even the universe.

    if i asked you "what is happy - happy - 1" what would you tell me? you would tell me that you cant subtract from happy. why? because happy is a concept, like infinity.

  5. Still infinity

  6. Infinity isn't a number, so you can't perform arithmatic operations on it. There's a nice explanation of this at the reference.

  7. There's more than one value of infinity.

    The 'lowest' accepted infinity is called aleph-0 and it is the number of integers. (strangely, the number of rational numbers if also the same).

    There are other infinities which are much higher, such as aleph-1, the number of irrational numbers.

    No values of infinity can be used in mathematical calculations, so the question is not valid, I'm afraid.

  8. 1

    infinity-(infinity-1)

    infinity-infinity+1

    +1

  9. its negitive infinity

  10. well... I guess if you look at infinity as a pronumeral... it would be -1...

  11. finity!

  12. First i'd like to clear that its safe to equate infinity to itself, if it's not then my answer is probably wrong.

    If we treat infinity as a variable. then the equation would be equal to x-(x-1) which is actually equal to 1.

  13. -1, the two infinities cancel as although they do not have numerical values they still cancel

  14. infinity - 1 is still infinity, if you can even subtract one from infinity.

    so 0? or infinity still?

    it depends on how you look at it.

  15. In calculus, infinity - infinity is an indeterminate form.  You have to manipulate the expression until you get it into a zero over zero form, or an infinity over infinity form.  Then you can apply L'Hospital's Rule to eveluate the limit.

    have a look at the above mentioned link man, maybe it will shed some light on your question.

  17. Infinity is continuous if you take away 1 it will slow it down slightly but it will keep on going forever a bit like the universe

  18. Kind of, but that is really a math question.

    In math there is no "infinity". There is "increasing without limit" or "unlimited" or "undefined" or whatever. But not really infinity.

  19. There is something great inside have to look into will find it.

  20. Any equasion containing infinity is nonsensical.

  21. Do not accept what you say blind obedience Infinity.

    Discover yourself what is true existential without gaps in mathematics, Tarcísio Brito - Brasil:

    Sun (+)> <((-) Earth (+))> <(-) System stars, beyond what it says mathematics: a neutral force between two opposing forces, at different temperatures, has different kinetic energy, capable of meeting pel the Circle of genetics of the life cycle of Our History, alternating the genetics of the life cycle of Pre-History (repeatedly).

    I warn: even today, chaotic random observations of clouds of gas aneliformes esculpem in our sovereign System stars, mirabolantes ways of other worlds and their conflicting suns.

    It is a warning in positive terms for people still confuse with garlic bugalhos outside the Solar System.

  22. Infinity is not a number - you cannot add or subtract anything to it or from it.

    It simply means endless - literally. Therefore, it is nonsense to attach any figure to it.

  23. Infinity is really just a concept, having no actual numerical value, but, despite this, I suppose that you could still argue that the answer has to be 1.
