The dev issues a warning to anyone using glitches to gain an upper hand in the Black Box map. They also state that they are working on a fix, which should be out soon.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the bestselling video game and fastest selling entertainment product in the world. A large number of gamers also partake in the game’s online multiplayer component as well with over 20-million registered users battling it
out on a daily basis.
Activision, the games publisher, has a number of developers working on providing fresh experiences for its fans via Downloadable Content. They even released a schedule of the map packs that would be released throughout the year so fans could know when to
expect a new DLC drop.
The latest DLC pack is ‘Black Box’ and it seems that it took gamers a matter of hours to find and exploit a glitch in the map. Anyone who exploits the glitch would be able to get themselves under the map and pick off anyone at the surface with ease.
According to Robert Bowling, the face of Infinity Ward, “There’s a glitch in Black Box that allows you to get under the map.”
That was part of a ‘tweet’ shared by the main man at the studio which continued, “Fix already in the works, out by Friday. Don’t exploit, we’ll be banning.”
So, first things first, the developer seems to be both aware and on-top of the situation as they plan to have a fix out very soon and secondly, they also seem to be in another one of their ‘thou are banned’ moods, so it is best one sticks to the straight
and honest path for the time being.
The developer was rumoured to have hired a number of glitchers to test out their DLC packs and titles, yet with the latest developments it seems that either the rumours were not true or the glitchers seem to have missed this particular one.
Either way, Infinity Ward is watching out for any cheaters and it would be wise to heed Mr. Bowling’s warning before they find themselves permanently removed from partaking in any form of Modern Warfare.
