Most events in Ancient Greece had religious purposes. The Greek Olympics of ancient times were done in honor of the god Zeus. Dance was often done in temples before the gods as well as music. I do not believe they ever had events specific to art itself most art was in honor of the gods or had some religious purpose or for daily use. There were cults that formed in Greece but they died off and records are often sparse. In any events one can look at some forms neopaganism as a revival of the lesser known cultural events experienced by Greeks. Ancient Greeks often held festivals (see links) that had a mixture of sports, food, music, orgies and dances.
