Info about earwigs?

Question

i two of these bugs in my house with pinchers on there butt, didnt know what it was so i looked it up on the net and found out they are earwigs and they lay thousands of eggs in your brain and in a week after that you die a very horrible painful death.. omg is this true, i dont want to go back to my house, i dont want my kids to get hurt by a d**n bug, anyone know anyone who died because of this, any info is great!

The ones I have living around my house eat dead leaves, fallen fruit, and also do some nibbling on herbaceous plants (they're destructive enough on my plants that I stomp them when I see them).

They do not lay hundreds of eggs in people's brains.  A female will lay about 40 eggs in a little cave she digs under a rock or under a leaf.  She stands guard over the eggs 'til they hatch.

The way to get hurt is to pick one up with your bare hands.  That "pincher" really works.  So tell your kids not to pick them up.
