Schlager is popular, mainly to middle and old age people. It is ballad-type music, mainly sung in German. Artists:- Andrea Berg, Kristina Bach, Nicole, Helene Fischer, Leonard, Patrick Lindner, Roy Black(deceased), Udo Jurgens, Semino Rossi, Fernando Express, to name but a few.

Volksmusik is a modern up-beat version of  traditional folk music. Artists:- Zillertaler, Klostertaler, Kastelruther Spatzen, Marc Pircher, Paldauer, Randfichten.
