Info on Niagara Falls?

Question

I will be crossing the border into Canada via the Peace Bridge in Buffalo. Does anyone know how far it is from that crossing to the falls? I'm going to be pressed for time, so is there somewhere within walking distance of the falls that I can park so I can see them from the Canadian side? Thank you !

Once you get a cross your only a couple miles from the falls.  The have places to park near the falls cost you $10 and your only 150 ft away.  Take a camera and enjoy.

If you want, you could cross into Niagara Falls using the Rainbow Bridge from Niagara Falls, NY. This bridge takes you directly into the town of Niagara Falls and you can even see the Falls while you are crossing.

Other than that, Suzanne offers good tips. Theres lot of places to park by the falls. But the day you visit will have an impact on how busy the city because it is mainly a tourist town  so if you can, visit on a weekday. Theres lots of stuff to see & do in Niagara Falls besides the Falls (Casinos, Museums, Fun Stuff for Kids, etc)

Depending on what day of the week you go, just crossing the bridge can take up to 2 hours.  Weekends and Fridays are especially bad on holiday weekends.  It is about a 20-30 minute drive from the Peace Bridge ot the Falls.  The drive is very scenic along the Niagara River.  Parking in the Falls on either side is tricky...just look for parking areas...again depending on the time of day, weather and day of the week it will impact how easy parking is to find.
