In upgrading my lighting system I am going to need to cross the bridge of, will I use a glass cover and sacrifice a good amount of UV rays?

Or will I let it be an open tank.

I have researched both ends and I was wondering if any of you have experience with open tanks and the evaporation that stems from it.

My lighting will be 60W of Daylight florescent bulbs using a hanging fixture over a 29 tall gallon tank.

I have not checked for studs or started any of the construction I'm just collecting information so that I can have as much knowledge as possible before starting.

Any help/links/advice greatly appreciated!
