  1. try going to your city gov site and searching from there. You want foster care with option to adopt right? it depends on the city and state you live in because the programs all different! GOOD LUCK to you! And CONGRATULATIONS! I think it is great when people share themselves :D

  2. I am not sure about a website, but i think it's great that u are adopting.

  3. Getting foster kids is easy and you should be able to get info from your local Children's Services, there is always an urgent need for foster parents, adopting one is a different story altogether, it's a very long and expensive process that often ends up with you not being able to adopt, even when it looked so promising, you will likely try with many children before you end up being able to adopt.  Good luck, get lots of people praying for you!

  4. Congrats!  Don't know much about the process, but I just wanted to say congrats on your decision.  Most states do have web sites.  Do a google search..Good luck.

  5. If you are planning to adopt an older or special needs child or a sibling group, then there are many photolistings that will give you informationa on specific children who are waiting.

If you are hoping to adopt an infant, toddler or younger child, it's likely (but not always the case) that you would need to foster-adopt, which means, the parents legal rights would not be terminated yet, but it is likely they will be in which case you could eventually adopt the child. Here are a few good sites on adopting from foster care.

    http://www.fosterparenting.com/foster-ca...

    http://www.adoptivefamilies.com/foster/

    http://foster-child.adoption.com/parents...

    http://www.davethomasfoundation.org/

    Best of luck!

  6. http://www.AdoptUSKids.com (or it might be org) is a good place to start.

Check the website for your state Department of Social Services (of whatever it might be called in your state).

Check http://groups.yahoo.com and type in "MyState Foster" and a group will probably come up with foster parents in your state that can support you.

I hope this helps, and wish you the best!

  7. If you are adopting foster kids, go to the state's foster kids website. I adopted a foster kid and my state's department of social and health services (Washington) had a lot of info on adoption, it is their ultimate goal, finding these kids a permanent home. If you don't know your state's website, just do a search for foster child adoptions with your state included. You should be OVERLOADED with info.

It's a long road, good luck and don't give up, it's well worth it!

  8. Just google ___(your state's name)______ public adoption.  The website will come up.
