  2. We are going on our 4th cruise this summer. I love cruises. They are awesome. One good thing about them is that you get to go many different places in a short amount of time instead of staying in one place. Also, the food is really tasty. There is too much of it though. With how big the ships are now days, it is pretty hard to get sea sick. you can't really even feel the ship moving. The beds on ships are actually really comfy, but the cabins and bathrooms are tiny. The staff is usually friendly. The only problem though is that they are all foreign and have a bit of a language barrier. Cruises are great vacations though. They are amazing.

  3. I have been on 23 cruises.

THE GOOD - Everything- food, service, staff other guests etc........................................

THE BAD - The Cruise ends & you have to go home.

    SHORT &  SWEET.

  4. I went on a cruise last week with my whole family(aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.). I had a WONDERFUL time. All the adults were able to enjoy laying out in the sun, going to the bars, and going to the casino, all whilst the kids could enjoy age-appropriate activities through the kids groups. Although it was quite hectic, and we didn't spend too much time together as a family, the evenings were wonderful, and we all got to spend time together at dinner. I am 14, and this was my first cruise, but after that experience I would really want to go again. The thing that I enjoyed most was just how nice everyone was. The staff on the ship was ultra friendly, and all the people my age that were there were really nice. I think that you will have a Great time on your cruise! Have Fun!!!

  5. Make sure you go with people you like and don't give out your credit card number unless you are very confident.

I had some dude steal my cc number on a cruise and the lines (carnival) wouldn't dispute because it was in international waters.

Carnival is fun. Plan on spending money if you drink.

Sometimes you have to tip allot of people.

Holland and Norwegian is older crowds.

GET A BALCONY, UPGRADE OR DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO.

  6. The good

    1)  Food.  The food is first rate, and you'll never go hungry.

    2)  Sleep.  I sleep better at sea than anywhere else.

    3)  Entertainment.  I'm never bored.

    4)  The People.  Almost everybody is nice.

    The bad

    1)  Seasickness.  Fortunately, dramanine takes care of that.  However, on my second cruise I foolishly decided I didn't need it during the first day.  I didn't enjoy my dinner at all.  I wised up and took a tablet a day.  If you are worried about drowsiness, take it at bedtime.

    2)  Drinks.  Free ones are few.  A soda pass works great if you drink more than 4 glasses a day.  Alcohol is expensive.

    3)  The "extras".  You'll get high pressure pitches for everything from chains of gold to shore tours.  Trust me, they do not provide many extras.  Shampoo and conditioner are provided, but if you want to write postcards bring your own pens.  Same for a water bottle; pay ship rates or bring your own container for shores.

    The Ugly

    1)  The Wrong Cruise.  Nothing will disappoint you more than if you book the wrong cruise.  Invest in a cruise guide book, or borrow one from a library.  The wrong cruise might be the destination, the season, or even the line.  My latest cruise was on Princess.  I had a good time, but I was still a 41 year old guy on  ship full of affluent seniors.  Obviously, if you were looking for a younger, more party-like atmosphere it is the wrong cruise.

  7. too much food. they feed you so many times a day.

take something for seasickness. if you get ill, that's the worst feeling in the world.

  8. Good -

    -Lots of food.

-Lots of entertainment (shows, activities, etc.)

    -It's a vacation!

-You get to visit several different places and only have to pack once.

-The ports you get to visit you might not get to visit by other means (if they don't have an airport for example).

-Great staff. Yes, there are always a few not-so-good staff members, but for the most part they will cater to your needs.

Not Good (wouldn't say bad) -

-Debarkation is probably the worst part. You have to get up quite early and stand in line for a while.

-Lots of stuff isn't included. Drinks, casino, shopping, etc. (Hint: when you first board, if they offer you a frozen drink on deck, it's not free, so don't take it unless you want to pay for it.)

-Lines... embarkation, debarkation, buffet, getting off at ports. They're all over, but if you time everything right you can beat most of them.

Overall, I feel the positives far outweigh the negatives. Just go in with a positive attitude and you'll have a great time. Like all vacations, not everything will be perfect or will go as you dreamed.
