  1. If you go to graduate school at Scripps Institution of Oceanography you would have the chance to study all those things and go to all those places. You'd have to choose some specialty, but even so you'd have the opportunity to go to exotic places and do things that might be outside your specialty.  Professors are always advertising for students to go places like that and do research.  Some drill ice cores in Antarctica to find out about past climate, others track fault motion with GPS receivers, some study motion and lubrication of glaciers, others take 6 week cruises to study ocean properties, whatever you want to do.

  2. Geology is huge in Australia at the moment. Im studying Appplied Geology at Curtin Univeristy of Technology in Perth, Western Australia. A lot of British lecturers have come to the university and have mentioned repeatedly how Australia currently employs the most geologist globally.

Onced enrolled, you will have access to sooooo many resources to satisfy your tastes and doing an honours project on any of those interests you mentioned would definitely expose you to career paths.

I met a student last semester from America who has travel around the world studying geology. He attended a mapping camp with us. He is on his way to Hawaii next.
