Question:

Info on stocks?

I know I'm only a teen, but I have this obsession with pricey things. Like if there are two purses, one is $45 and one that is exactly the same, except for a different brand name is $300, for some reason I want the $300 one.

Of course I'm going to get a really good job when I'm older, but I think it would be good to get into stocks and start at a young age. What is the best information you can give me on stocks? (I already know "buy low, sell high", Duh!) And some good websites to watch that have things like graphs and stuff.

Thanks:)

  1. Check out www.investors.com and it's how to invest link...

stay focused on mutual funds and stocks vs. options, bonds etc.

  2. I can send you a good website, but I want $100 for it

  3. Well I think one of the best free resources out there is Investopedia.com. It pretty much has everything thats needed to know about the stock markets except the actual human experience of investing in stocks.

Start saving some funds and learn much as possible of the process that you can. Also, do not by into scams that are after your money. If it sounds to good to be true then it probably is.

Also, follow some companies you have a interest in and visit Yahoo Finance and follow reports for those companies and read on the forums what other investors have to say.

Good luck and happy wealth building.

  4. I use this website that gives free stock picks and there very good check it out at, it also tells you some information about stocks to teach you.

    StockPickKing.com

  5. Read some books and then start investing in the stock market. Reading books is a great way to learn fast about the stock market. You probably will not agree with everything that is said in books but taking bits and pieces out of each book will help you tremendously.

Here are some books I think will help:

    • How to Make Money in Stocks – William J. O’neil

    • The Little Book of Common Sense Investing – John C. Bogle

    • One up on Wall Street – Peter Lynch

    • Real Money – Jim Cramer

    • Reminiscences of a Stock Operator – Edwin Lefevre

    • The Intelligent Investor – Benjamin Graham
