Information about Barbizon of Akron...

Question

Has anyone gone thru the classes at barbizon of akron? I am going through them and will then be signed with an agent at Pro-Model and talent management. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me how they feel about it, etc.

Scam. Don't do it. Find a legit school that doesn't cost you a c**p load of money and then you should be one your way

Barbizon (and ProModel) of ANYWHERE is a scam.

So are John Robt Powers and John Casablancas.

Any casting director who sees these entities on your resume as "experience" will write you off before you even open your mouth.

If all it takes is a cheque, it's not for real.  Take REAL acting classes at school and associated with local theaters and colleges, get actual experience in plays, call the legitimate talent agencies in your area, don't have your mom and dad shell out money that could be better spent on truly useful training.
