  1. Excellent page, thanks for sharing. This is worth a bookmark

    My cat wears Soft Claws

  2. Here is one with pics

    I would never declaw

  3. I'm with you!!!!! I have 7 cats and NONE of them have been declawed, I would never do that it is mean and cruel, I have several scratching posts and they all use them, they never ever use the furniture or carpets, if a person is afraid of getting scratched, then they shouldn't have a cat, I work in a vet hospital and i shiver, when someone wants their cat declawed, I dont understand why, Its mean cruel and so so painful for the poor kitties, shame on anyone who would do such a thing to a poor kitty,

  4. Hope a lot of people see this and get it through their heads how cruel this is!!

  5. dont declaw your cat it hurts the, sooo much..please

  6. I saw some declawing surgery on youtube and it makes my stomach churned. I have no idea how many people still think that it's just a routine surgery to clip the nails. Anyone interested just have to search for cat declaw or declaw surgery etc and you'll see how horrible the amputation and mutilation surgery is. :(

  7. here is a good  page about the alternatives to declawing:

  8. That is an excellent website to which I have referred people who need to know about declawing. There is a vet's website, http://www.declawing.com/, that is also very good. It has a page showing how to trim nails and is a very informative site!

    Another excellent website is http://declaw.lisaviolet.com/

I could write a book about the horrors of declawing, having seen so many declawed cats suffer and die as a result of having been declawed. They are relinquished to shelters because of the behavioral problems caused by declawing (peeing on soft surfaces-litter box aversion - and biting) or they starve themselves to death after having their toes amputated and experiencing the terrible pain and trauma of these amputations.

Thanks for your post! I hope a lot of people read it and educate themselves and spare a lot of cats from needless suffering!
