Information about learning the trumpet?

I currently play the clarinet, but I want to learn another instrument so that I can expand my music knowlede more... with the Trumpet. However I have no idea what type of trumpet to buy (Like Bflat trumpet or C trumpet) and if playing the Trumpet will effect how I play the clarinet (Will it ruin it?)

it wont effect your clarinet playing at all.  

Bb.  c trumpets are somewhat of a novelty.  they dont have beginner repretoire.

get a bach trumpet.  they are pretty mainstream, but good quality.  there are lots of models, so get one within your price range.

www.wwbw.com: best prices on the web.  i would never buy a woodwind from them, because they dont fix leaks before a sale, but it should be absolutely fine for trumpets and accessories.

Playing the trumpet will not affect how you play the clarinet. However they are both very different.  The ombechure is different and of course there's no reed.  But you already have good breath support.

Buy a BFlat.  But maybe rent before buying to try it out.
