Could anyone please help me with this. I am taking a trip to banff and jasper this july. I have time to see one more place. I am stuck between waterton lakes park/ yoho or glacier national park (the canadian one). I love beautiful sceneries and photography. so which is the best location for this? also since i will be going to jasper and banff, would the scenery be any different in these parks?

  1. Good suggestions already above. I live in Banff if you want to ask anything specific about this area.

Don't miss out the Icefields Parkway drive (between Jasper and Lake Louise) one of the most scenic and beautiful drives anywhere... numerous glaciers, amazing colored glacial lakes, lots of bears!

  2. I suggest Yoho as well. Jasper is beautiful - and quite different from Banff National Park. Yoho will be more peaceful and quiet compared to Banff (July is high tourist season!)

You can camp at many different campgrounds - the provincially run campgrounds are really great.

If you want more comfortable accomodation, my favourite company to suggest is at this website. I highly recommend Hidden Ridge Resort, especially if you are travelling with other people.

Enjoy your trip! You will love it!

  3. Well it's all mountains but they are beautiful where ever you go. I love Yoho as well as Jasper. Waterton is quite a drive drive from Banff. Yoho is closer

There is a lot to see at Yoho. That would be my choice if I had to make one.
