  1. Pilots and engineers need to be able to read and write. Try working on that first and then gather information about what it takes to be a pilot. BTW you never really asked a question.

  2. you work about 70 hours a month payed a lot but can be stressful. worth it when your at 18000 ft looking down on the world the cities, farms, mountains, rivers oceans. go for it join the airforce get flight training and then become a commercial pilot.//speedbird793 you are cleared for takeoff//

  3. Hi,

    Just ignore the first few idiots who did not answer the question. I am a Pilot for the British Royal Navy and I really enjoy it. Depends what type of pilot you want to be but if it is a military pilot your main job will be building up your hrs, at the same time as doing a lot of rescue missions, but don't forget that war is REAL and thats what a lot of people forget. The other thing is if you are a navy pilot you don't get a family life as you can be out at sea for up to 10 months so its better to be an Air Force pilot.

    If you want to be a commercial pilot then the main jobs you will have will be about a one and a half hour general check of your aircraft and then it will be the flight. the first 5-10 minutes during take-off  the autopilot must be off and the pilot or co-pilot must be in control and then the rest of the flight is up to you if you control the plane or if you put it on autopilot. I know this as after 5 years of working for the military I want to be a Commercial pilot and also my brother is a commercial pilot. If you need any other information you can send an email to nathanraman@hotmail.com

    Hope this helps and best of luck

    Do as well in school as you can as it is quite hard to get into

  4. I cant tell you any information about a aeronautical engineer, but about being a pilot, there are only two kinds in this world.

    The military, and the commercial.

    You will then have to decide the kind of lifestyle and working conditions you want to spend for the rest of your healthy young days. I beg to differ that flying is a HOBBY. Well, i see it as a profession as it takes alot of mental and physical aspects combined with the right attitude to succeed. I am a military man, and so i would have to say it is very VERY regimental in the air force but the things you do here everyday will be second to NONE in the world of piloting. And the window of opportunity only comes at that certain age. It is very easy to be a any pilot of any plane. But being a military pilot, there is a thin line between the best, and only the best, in the country. So take your pick. Hope you got the right one, cos i believed i did.

  5. You'll have to ask a question. One at a time.

  6. aeronautical engineer=profession

    pilot=hobby

    Be an engineer and fly for fun...trust me.

  7. Why no question?

    The curriculum for aeronautical engineering is very math intense.  --Not so much for pilot training and pilot work.
