Information about train travel from Rome to Carsoli?

I am traveling to Italy in about 2 months time, and i will be flying to the Leonardo Da Vinci airport. I am a bit stuck as to where to go. I basically want to get the train from the airport to a train station in Carsoli just east of Rome city centre.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to what trains i need to catch to get to this Carsoli station?

Thank you for anyone that can give me information!

  1. At the airport take the FM1 metropolitan train to Roma Tiburtina station (not the Leonardo Express to Roma Termini). There are 4 trains per hour from the airport to Tiburtina. At Tiburtina, you can catch a train to Carsoli. It will be the stop after Tivoli. The price is 9.50 euro. You can check schedules at: http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html.

If you can get to the airport train station before 7:05 in the morning, you can take the train to Roma Termini and make a fast connection to Carsoli.

Edit: Yes, but the train isn't right at the airport like at Fiumicino. You have to catch a bus to the Ciampino station for the train to Rome - the bus is less than a euro and the train is a little more than euro: see http://www.cimt.it/how%20to%20get%20here...

You could also catch a bus to the closest metro station There is also a more expensive direct shuttle bus from Ciampino to Roma Termini.
