Hi,

I am looking for a good website which would give all information about getting around paris, the local modes of transportation available with time and ticket price to commute between the given 2 places.

Any information regarding useful websites or tips are welcome.

We would be travelling with our 19 mnths old kid .Are there any concessions for kids or mothers travelling with kids within Paris?

  1. Here is the tourist office page on public transportation.  They haven't updated the prices (it's a few cents more now) but apart from that the info is clear and accurate.

    http://en.parisinfo.com/paris-map/gettin...

And here is an interactive map of the subway network:

The ratp.fr website and the tourist office website also have links to maps of the bus network and other modes of transportation. Traveling with young children gives you priority seating on designated seats on the métro (look for the logo on the window). Children under 4 travel for free as long as they don't use a seat during rush hour (have to travel on your lap).

  2. www.ratp.fr is the website for the public transit system in Paris.  I'm not sure about kids - they may get half fare, or something.
