    Martini Recipe

    6 parts gin

    1 part dry vermouth

    Cocktail olive

Combine liquid ingredients in a cocktail shaker with cracked ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with olive.

the website I listed below has a lot of different flavors of martini

  3. It should depend on the size of your martini up-glass,2 or three ounces.  bartenders tip, never use vermouth, gin or vodka only, people will ask your recipe for the best martini they have ever had

  4. A dash of vermouth and 2oz.of vodka, a dash is equal to 1/16 of an ounce for a dry martini,

  5. This will boil down to preference but I bartended for a long time an an upscale steak house and this was the recipe we used for a vodka martini.

First, use a chilled martini glass.  If you don't have time to put it in a freezer, fill the glass with ice and club soda or water.  Let it sit while you make the drink or for a few minutes.

Pour three ounces of vodka in the shaker with ice.  Shake well for about fifteen to twenty seconds.  Expect the vodka to be cloudy.

Once you've removed the ice from the martini glass or removed from freezer, pour approximately 1/16 to 1/8 of an ounce of dry vermouth into the martini glass.  Swirl it around so that it coats the glass and dump any remaining vermouth.

Finally, dump your shaken vodka into the glass and garnish with queen olives.  For a nice kick, remove the pimento from the olives and stuff with blue cheese crumbles.

Good luck with all these recipes; enjoy!

  6. Remove the vodka from the freezer in which it has been for at least a couple of hours. Pour into a chilled martini glass. Whisper "vermouth" in the general direction of the glass. Don't whisper too loudly. Don't contaminate the glass with garnish. Sip and enjoy.

  7. There is no real set amount of vermouth to use in a martini. Different people will prefer different amounts. Typically if someone orders it "dry", they want literally just a few drops of vermouth.

To figure out your own personal taste, make 3 martinis and use varying measurements of vermouth in each. Taste all three and see which one you like best. Different amounts of vermouth can really alter the taste of a martini to someone who is familiar with the taste of the booze that they drink.
