  1. Go to Gateway of India. Catch a ferry service from there. Costs : Rs.65/- ( Ajanta boat - capacity about 50 persons), Rs.80/- ( Maldar boat - large ship about 250 persons) and Rs.110/- or so for A.C. - PNP service.

    The fare includes bus transfer from Mandwa jettey to Alibag by bus owned by the boat service.

    Total time from Gateway to Alibag ( including bus transfer ) : about 1 hour and 20 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes.

    Lots of hotels, bed and breakfast accomodations etc. available in and around Alibag.

    Spots :

    Alibag beach, fort ( if you don't know tide time, please don't go - it's dangerous ), Sasawane ( for sculpture exhibition), Kashid beach, Korlai fort, Revdanda, Birla temple, Murud- Janjira ( about 50 kms from Alibag) and lots of small, not well known spots along coastline.
