  1. Typically the answer is no. Palio is by far the best guillotine cigar cutter out there, by far the sharpest blades. Not only that, but if you ever feel it has become dull, just return it to any Palio vendor (or Palio directly) and they will ship you a replacement/new cutter free of charge!

Best place to purchase Palio is from www.cigarswag.com.

    Hope this helps.

  2. No. Cutters become dull over time. More expensive cuttes such as Xigar, can be sharpened. Otherwise, just use disposable cutters. Most people use about one cutter per box of smokes. I personally prefer a plugger to a cutter.

  3. The previous poster gave some not so totally correct information.

Double bladed guillotine cutters are self sharpening to a certain extent and good cutters like Xikar, Palio and Zino claim that they are self sharpening.

I've owned my Xikar for about six years and have yet to have a problem, and if I do, I can send it back to Xikar for free repair/sharpening and I'm sure the others will do the same.

A good cutter will only set you back around $30 too, so it doesn't make sense to buy a cheapo

    JMHO and YMMV
