I've been looking at a Dumerils Ground Boa for about 8 months. Ive finally decided to get her. Shes a very sweet snake and seems to love being handled. Eats healthy and has full sheds. Also no parasites as I can tell. I just wanted to know if there was a way to determine the s*x without seeing a vet about it? I know how to "pop" ball pythons, but is it the same with dumerils? Also, how old are they usually when they reach full maturity? Since some like to burrow, wouldn't I need a substrate they can actually burrow in instead of aspen shavings? I just cant see a snake burrowing in aspen shavings. One more question... She is approx. 3 1/2 feet long, would a 30"x13" enclosure be large enough for her?

And I think you can pop most snakes. (At least as a baby)
