Information on Slovakia, Austria,and the Czech Republic.

Question

I am going to Slovakia, Austria and the Czech Republic in Oct.08 and I have never been to any of them. If you have any information, like where to stay eat, see, and the best way to get from country to country!! THANKS

studentagency.cz..they have great bus connections between Slovak and Czech republic, buses are comfortable, great service...there is an english version on the web page.Good luck

Getting around in the region is easy by train, but there is also a ferry between Bratislava and Vienna.

In the bigger towns you will find places to eat easily, in the smaller towns of Czech republic and Slovakia you will have to look under and behind shops, as many good restaurants seem to hide.

I mostly found that they have a menu in English as well, but that may have fewer options than the original. So if you have a phrasebook, bring it and use in for the food choice.

Loads of places to stay, but if Austria they are a lot more expensive.

But in Czech republic and Slovakia they are not always up to western standards. Locks on bathroom doors are not as common, so be careful when entering a public (or restaurant) toilet.
