Information on lionhead bunnies?

Question

i was thinking about getting a lionhead bunny and i was wondering if i could just let it run around my room instead of keeping it in a cage...i know someone who does that and her bunny is potty trained and it just roams around the house.

also, does it shed a lot even if it's one of the short haired ones?
